We are currently seeking a highly qualified Chief Mate (DPO) to join our dynamic team. As a key leadership role on our offshore vessels, you will be responsible for the safe navigation, cargo operations, and overall management of the deck department. Tanggung Jawab
- Assist the Master in navigating the vessel and ensuring safe passage according to international maritime laws.
- Supervise and manage the deck crew, providing training and ensuring high standards of performance.
- Oversee cargo operations, including loading, stowage, securing, and discharging, ensuring weight distribution and stability.
- Implement and monitor strict adherence to Safety Management Systems (SMS) and ISM Code.
- Conduct regular safety drills, inspections, and maintenance checks on deck machinery and equipment.
- Prepare necessary navigation and deck logs, reports, and documentation as required by flag state and classification societies.
Kualifikasi
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Deck Officer on offshore vessels.
- Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) as Chief Mate or DPO (Deck Officer) issued by the appropriate maritime authority.
- Strong knowledge of SOLAS, MARPOL, COLREGs, and STCW conventions.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal, for communication with the bridge team and shore management.
- Physically fit and medically certified to meet the requirements of seafaring employment.
- Proficiency in using modern navigation and communication systems.
