Private Advertiser is currently recruiting for a dynamic and experienced Chief Officer to join our expanding maritime operations. This role is essential for maintaining the highest levels of safety and efficiency aboard our vessel. As the second-in-command, you will play a pivotal role in the vessel's daily operations, ensuring that all navigation and safety protocols are rigorously followed.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional command of maritime regulations, specifically focusing on Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) and Bridge Resource Management (BRM). You will be expected to utilize advanced ARPA and Radar Simulators to ensure accurate navigation and collision avoidance. Your key duties will include supervising the deck crew, managing cargo operations, and maintaining comprehensive navigational logs. We are looking for a leader who can foster a culture of safety and professionalism within the team.
Tanggung Jawab
- Command the bridge and oversee the deck team to ensure safe and efficient navigation.
- Implement and monitor Bridge Resource Management (BRM) practices to prevent human error.
- Manage radio communications effectively using GMDSS equipment and protocols.
- Conduct regular safety drills, equipment inspections, and maintenance of navigation systems.
- Supervise cargo handling operations and ensure vessel stability.
- Maintain accurate logs and reports in strict accordance with international maritime standards.
- Lead and mentor junior crew members to foster a professional and safe working environment.
Kualifikasi
- Valid STCW certification and Chief Officer qualification.
- Extensive experience with ARPA (Automatic Radar Plotting Aids) and Radar simulators.
- Proficiency in GMDSS (Global Maritime Distress and Safety System).
- Strong leadership, decision-making skills, and crisis management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a contract-based maritime environment.
- Physical fitness and valid medical certificate for seafarers.
