We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Commis Chef to support our head chefs in delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a vital member of our kitchen brigade, you will assist in the preparation and execution of dishes, ensuring that every plate meets our high standards of quality, presentation, and taste.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. You will work closely with the culinary team to follow recipes precisely, manage mise en place, and ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations. Tanggung Jawab

  • Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in food preparation and cooking according to established recipes and plating standards.
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and food preparation areas at all times.
  • Ensure all ingredients are fresh, stored correctly, and utilized efficiently to minimize waste.
  • Follow portion control guidelines to help manage food costs effectively.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly, including ovens, stoves, and slicers.
  • Support the kitchen team during service to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.

Kualifikasi

  • Previous experience as a Commis Chef or similar role in a professional kitchen environment.
  • Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP knowledge is a plus).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment during service hours.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and take direction.
  • Basic knife skills and knowledge of fundamental culinary techniques.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
