Are you a passionate culinary professional looking to elevate your career in one of Bali's most vibrant dining destinations? Kala Group, under the Clean Plates Collective, is currently seeking a dedicated Commis Chef to join our kitchen team in Uluwatu.

In this role, you will work across various sections of the kitchen, gaining hands-on experience in high-paced, high-quality culinary operations. We pride ourselves on creating memorable dining experiences through fresh ingredients and technical precision. As a Commis, you will support the Chef de Partie and Demi Chefs in daily operations, ensuring that our high standards of food safety, hygiene, and presentation are maintained at all times. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring chefs to build a solid foundation in a professional kitchen environment.

Tanggung Jawab

  • Assist in the preparation and production of food items across all kitchen sections including hot, cold, and garde manger.
  • Ensure all food preparation is carried out according to standard recipes and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workspace in compliance with HACCP and local health regulations.
  • Assist in the monitoring and storage of raw ingredients to minimize wastage and ensure freshness.
  • Support senior kitchen staff during busy service hours to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Properly maintain kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Continuously learn and adapt to new menu items and culinary techniques introduced by the Head Chef.

Kualifikasi

  • Previous experience as a Commis Chef or a culinary school graduate with a strong interest in hospitality.
  • Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene practices (HACCP certification is a plus).
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to stand for long periods and work in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Good team player with strong communication skills and a positive, learning-oriented attitude.
  • Basic knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
  • Proficiency in English is preferred to facilitate effective communication within our international team.
