We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Commis Chef cum Helper to join our culinary team at Abu Zahra Group Sdn Bhd. In this dynamic role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by assisting senior chefs in the preparation and finishing of customer orders. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization, specifically focusing on the timely and accurate preparation of Mise en Place. The ideal candidate is physically fit, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering excellence in food service. Tanggung Jawab
- Assist the Head Chef and culinary team in preparing and cooking menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all ingredients are measured, prepared, and arranged (Mise en Place) efficiently before service.
- Maintain a pristine kitchen environment by washing dishes, cleaning workstations, and sanitizing equipment.
- Follow strict food safety, hygiene, and HACCP regulations at all times.
- Assist in the receiving, storage, and rotation of food supplies to ensure quality control.
- Portion and plate dishes accurately to meet visual and portion size specifications.
- Support the kitchen team during peak service hours to ensure timely order delivery.
Kualifikasi
- Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality setting is preferred, but a strong willingness to learn is essential.
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations, cooking methods, and food safety practices.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Good communication skills in English or Malay.
- Physically capable of performing manual tasks such as lifting, carrying, and standing for long hours.
- Valid food handler's certificate is an advantage.
