Are you a detail-oriented supply chain professional looking to make an impact in the high-tech manufacturing sector? VDL ETG is seeking a dynamic Commodity Specialist to join our team in Joo Koon, Singapore. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end sourcing strategy of products related to our manufacturing Bill of Materials (BOMs).
As a Commodity Specialist, you will act as the bridge between our engineering requirements and global supplier capabilities. You will manage cost negotiations, ensure quality compliance, and guarantee the timely delivery of critical components that power our complex systems. This position offers a unique opportunity to work within a global leader in high-tech contract manufacturing, providing you with deep exposure to international supply chains and strategic procurement methodologies.
Tanggung Jawab
- Manage the end-to-end sourcing process for manufacturing BOM items, ensuring alignment with production schedules.
- Develop and implement commodity strategies to optimize costs while maintaining high quality standards.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with key suppliers to achieve competitive market advantage.
- Monitor supplier performance through KPIs and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with VDL ETG standards.
- Identify and qualify new global suppliers to reduce single-source risks and enhance supply chain resilience.
- Collaborate closely with internal Engineering and Quality teams to resolve procurement-related technical or supply issues.
- Track and report on market trends, commodity price fluctuations, and supply chain disruptions.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement, commodity management, or strategic sourcing, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of BOM structures and technical procurement processes.
- Proven ability to negotiate complex contracts and build long-term relationships with international suppliers.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously.
