Join Jabil's dynamic engineering team as a Component, Sourcing & Materials Engineer, where you'll drive innovation in supply chain operations. This critical role involves optimizing our Component Data Management (CDM) system to ensure robust classification frameworks meet evolving SCM business requirements. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize component data, enhance supplier relationships, and implement strategic sourcing initiatives. Your expertise will directly impact cost reduction, quality assurance, and operational efficiency across our Penang manufacturing facilities.
As a key contributor to our supply chain excellence, you'll analyze component specifications, evaluate supplier capabilities, and develop material selection strategies aligned with production goals. This position offers exposure to cutting-edge manufacturing technologies and provides opportunities to influence global procurement processes while working in Jabil's state-of-the-art Batu Kawan and Bayan Lepas facilities.
Tanggung Jawab
- Review and optimize Component Data Management (CDM) system to ensure accurate component classification and business alignment
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop strategic sourcing plans for critical components
- Analyze material specifications and supplier capabilities to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness
- Implement and maintain component data governance standards across SCM processes
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in material selection and supplier management
- Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure seamless component integration into production workflows
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance material sourcing strategies
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- 3+ years' experience in component engineering, sourcing, or materials management
- Proficiency in Component Data Management (CDM) systems and ERP platforms
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating component specifications and supplier performance
- Certification in Supply Chain Management (CSCP, CPSM) preferred
- Experience working in electronics manufacturing or high-volume production environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data accuracy
