China Construction Third Engineering (M) is a leading force in the construction industry, known for delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across Malaysia. We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Construction Safety and Health Officer to join our dynamic team in Banting, Selangor. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to work on significant projects while ensuring the well-being of our workforce.
In this role, you will be the guardian of site safety, ensuring that all operations comply with OSHA regulations and company policies. As a Mandarin speaker, you will be instrumental in communicating safety protocols effectively with our diverse workforce, bridging language gaps to foster a culture of safety. We are looking for a proactive professional who is committed to identifying hazards and implementing effective safety measures.
Tanggung Jawab
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with local safety laws and regulations.
- Monitor and enforce the proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) among all site workers at all times.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss reports to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Prepare and maintain accurate safety records, incident reports, and statistics for management review.
- Organize and conduct safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and emergency drills to keep the workforce informed and prepared.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop and implement site-specific safety plans and emergency response procedures.
- Act as the primary point of contact for safety compliance with regulatory bodies and government authorities.
Kualifikasi
- Valid Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health (OSSH) or a recognized Safety Officer certificate.
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Building Construction, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in Mandarin (Written and Spoken) is mandatory for this role.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in construction safety management.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian safety legislation, including OSHA 1994 and the Factories and Machinery Act.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
