Tanggung Jawab
- Lead the drafting, review, negotiation, and management of a wide range of commercial contracts, including vendor agreements, partnership agreements, service level agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.
- Provide expert legal advice and counsel to various business units on corporate governance, commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, and risk management specific to the insurance industry.
- Monitor and analyze changes in Singaporean laws, regulations, and industry best practices relevant to corporate, commercial, and insurance operations, ensuring the company's continuous adherence.
- Assist in managing disputes, potential litigation, and regulatory inquiries, coordinating with external counsel when necessary.
- Develop and deliver internal legal training and awareness programs to enhance legal literacy across the organization.
- Support the development and review of insurance policy wordings, product launches, and marketing materials to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risk.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, including business development, finance, and operations, to achieve strategic objectives while managing legal risks.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university and admitted to practice law in Singapore.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) as a Legal Counsel, with significant experience in an in-house legal department, preferably within the financial services or insurance sector.
- Proven expertise in contract law, corporate law, commercial law, and regulatory compliance within the Singapore legal framework.
- Strong understanding of insurance laws and regulations in Singapore (e.g., Insurance Act, financial advisory regulations).
- Exceptional negotiation, drafting, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal issues clearly and concisely to non-legal audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and deliver timely, practical legal advice in a demanding environment.
- High level of integrity, professional ethics, and sound judgment.
