Join Alan & Tan as a Conveyancing Lawyer and lead our brand‑new Kempas, Johor office from day one. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced legal professional to build and shape the future of our property law practice in a thriving Malaysian region.
You will handle a full spectrum of residential and commercial conveyancing matters, from due‑diligence and title investigation to drafting sale‑and‑purchase agreements and managing completions. Working closely with developers, banks, and private clients, you’ll ensure every transaction is executed smoothly, compliant with Malaysian law, and delivered on time.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Managing end‑to‑end conveyancing files, including pre‑contract checks, documentation, and post‑completion registration.
- Conducting thorough title searches and resolving encumbrances or land‑use issues.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating SPA, loan, and tenancy agreements.
- Liaising with financial institutions, government agencies, and external counsel to secure approvals.
- Mentoring junior staff and implementing office procedures to boost efficiency.
- Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring compliance with the Legal Profession Act and firm standards.
- Developing client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives.

Tanggung Jawab
- Manage end‑to‑end conveyancing files, from pre‑contract due diligence to post‑completion registration.
- Conduct title searches, investigate encumbrances, and resolve land‑use issues.
- Draft, review, and negotiate sale‑and‑purchase agreements, loan documents, and tenancy contracts.
- Coordinate with banks, developers, and government agencies to secure necessary approvals.
- Supervise and mentor junior legal staff and enforce office procedures.
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian property law, regulations, and firm standards.
- Build client relationships and support business development for the Kempas office.
Kualifikasi
- LLB or equivalent law degree from a recognized university.
- Admitted to the Malaysian Bar and holds a valid practicing certificate.
- Minimum 3 years of post‑qualification experience in conveyancing and property law.
- In‑depth knowledge of Malaysian land legislation, strata titles, and registration procedures.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage a branch, lead a team, and handle multiple client matters simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills in English (Malay is a plus).
- High ethical standards and a client‑focused attitude.
