- Execute daily food preparation and cooking tasks according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented consistently, meeting the high standards of Shangri-La Group.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workstation in compliance with all food safety regulations and hotel policies.
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock rotation, and minimize food waste.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow kitchen staff and communicate clearly with the senior culinary team.
- Assist in receiving and storing food supplies, ensuring proper handling and storage procedures.
- Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment, fostering teamwork and professional growth.
Kualifikasi
- Proven experience as a Cook or Commis Chef, preferably within a hotel or high-volume restaurant setting.
- Basic understanding of culinary techniques, knife skills, and various cooking methods.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene practices, and HACCP principles.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative spirit.
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight.
- Relevant culinary certification or diploma is a plus.
