Join Verte Cafe's vibrant kitchen team as a dedicated Cook! We're seeking a passionate individual to craft delicious dishes for our Surabaya patrons. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and a dynamic work environment in the heart of East Java's hospitality scene. As a key member of our culinary team, you'll contribute to our reputation for quality and consistency while working within our 9-hour shift structure (8 hours + 1-hour break) between 10:00 AM and 10:00 PM. Tanggung Jawab
- Prepare and cook diverse menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Maintain strict hygiene and sanitation protocols in all kitchen areas
- Manage inventory and efficiently utilize ingredients to minimize waste
- Collaborate with service staff to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Adapt to seasonal menu changes and special event requirements
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and perform routine maintenance checks
- Train junior staff on cooking techniques and kitchen procedures
Kualifikasi
- Minimum 1 year of professional cooking experience in a commercial kitchen
- Strong understanding of Indonesian cuisine and international cooking methods
- Certification in food safety and handling (preferred)
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods in a hot environment
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and cost control
