Tanggung Jawab
- Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients in serious criminal defence and litigation matters across Australia and the Asia Pacific region.
- Manage a diverse caseload of complex files, including offshore structuring and cross-border disputes, from inception to resolution.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research, analysis, and case preparation, including drafting pleadings, submissions, and legal opinions.
- Appear in court for hearings, trials, and bail applications, presenting compelling arguments and examining witnesses.
- Engage in strategic negotiation and alternative dispute resolution to secure favourable outcomes for clients.
- Collaborate closely with senior counsel and international partners to develop robust case strategies.
- Maintain rigorous file and diary management, ensuring compliance with all statutory and procedural deadlines.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of professional growth and excellence.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a recognised university.
- Admitted to the bar in an Australian state or territory (or currently eligible for admission/restriction). Practising Certificate highly desirable.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of post-admission experience in criminal law, with a strong track record in litigation.
- Demonstrated experience in cross-border, international, or offshore legal matters is a distinct advantage.
- Exceptional legal research, writing, and advocacy skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong collaboration with a distributed team.
- Sound judgment, high ethical standards, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities in a high-pressure environment.
