Are you an experienced Critical Environment Technician or Data Center Operations Engineer looking for your next challenge? We are currently seeking a dedicated professional to join a world-class team in the Central Region, Singapore. This is a contract position that offers the chance to work in one of the most advanced and resilient data centre environments in Southeast Asia.
In this 24/7 operations role, you will be the front-line guardian of our critical infrastructure. Your primary mission is to maintain 100% uptime by proactively monitoring and maintaining all facility systems. This includes high-voltage switchgear, UPS units, standby generators, precision cooling units (CRAC/CRAH), chilled water systems, and advanced fire detection/suppression systems. You will be the first responder to alarms and incidents, conducting root cause analysis and executing emergency operating procedures with precision and speed.
Your daily responsibilities will involve carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), troubleshooting complex technical faults, managing vendor access and work, and maintaining accurate logs through our BMS/EPMS and CMMS platforms. We are looking for someone with a strong electrical or mechanical background, ideally with relevant certifications (e.g., Nitec, Diploma, or Degree in Engineering) and hands-on experience in a mission-critical facility. Your ability to remain calm under pressure, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and adhere to strict Health & Safety protocols is paramount. Tanggung Jawab
- Monitor and maintain all critical infrastructure systems (Electrical, Mechanical, Fire, BMS) to ensure 100% uptime in a 24/7 data centre environment.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks on UPS, generators, CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, switchgear, and fire suppression systems.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, performing root cause analysis and executing incident management procedures.
- Manage and supervise contract engineers and vendors during maintenance activities, ensuring full compliance with safety standards.
- Utilize BMS/EPMS and CMMS platforms to monitor facility health, document incidents, and update work orders accurately.
- Conduct regular site inspections, including floor walks, to identify hazards and ensure operational integrity.
- Maintain stock levels of critical spares and assist with site security, access control, and environmental monitoring.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, updating SOPs and Method of Procedures (MOPs) for critical tasks.
Kualifikasi
- Diploma, Nitec, or Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2–4 years of hands-on experience in critical environment operations (Data Centre, Hospital, or Power Plant).
- Strong knowledge of high/low voltage power systems, cooling systems, and fire protection systems.
- Certification in LEW, STS, or relevant safety permits (e.g., Singapore Safety Pass) is highly advantageous.
- Willing and able to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive and methodical approach to work.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, BMS/EPMS, and CMMS applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Must be a team player with a commitment to safety and quality.
