Are you a detail-oriented logistics professional seeking a challenging role in international freight forwarding? Our client, a respected player in the global logistics industry, is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative (Freight Forwarding Staff) - International to join their expanding team in San Pedro City, Laguna.
In this critical role, you will be the primary liaison between the company and its diverse international clientele. You will coordinate end-to-end shipments, ensure compliance with international trade regulations, and deliver exceptional customer service that drives operational excellence.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage international freight shipments (air, sea, and land), ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery from origin to destination.
- Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, and Certificates of Origin, ensuring compliance with international trade laws.
- Act as the primary point of contact for international clients, providing proactive shipment updates, resolving inquiries, and fostering strong business relationships.
- Liaise closely with shipping lines, airlines, trucking partners, and customs brokers to facilitate smooth cargo movement and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor shipment milestones and proactively identify and resolve potential delays, discrepancies, or issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assist with customs clearance procedures by reviewing documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring seamless border crossings.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all shipments, costs, and client interactions within the company's logistics system.
- Collaborate with the broader operations and sales teams to streamline processes and improve overall service delivery.
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor's Degree in Customs Administration, Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding, logistics coordination, or a similar customer service role is highly advantageous.
- Solid understanding of international freight operations, documentation, and customs clearance processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to interact professionally with international clients and partners.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with logistics management software.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data management.
- Highly organized with excellent time management and problem-solving skills, capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Willing to work full-time onsite in San Pedro City, Laguna.
