About the Role
ST Engineering is a global technology, defence, and engineering group with a robust portfolio in cybersecurity, smart cities, and air transport. We are currently looking for a passionate and technically proficient Cyber Range Engineer to join our elite team at our state-of-the-art Cybersecurity Hub located in Jurong East, Singapore. This is a permanent, full-time role designed for an individual who wants to build and operate next-generation cyber ranges used for complex simulation, training, and product validation. What You Will Do
In this hands-on technical role, you will take ownership of the cyber range infrastructure. Your primary responsibility will be the architecture, deployment, and maintenance of realistic network topologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, endpoints, and servers within virtualized and cloud environments. You will script and automate the deployment of attack tools and defensive measures to create dynamic training scenarios. You will also be responsible for integrating various security solutions such as SIEMs, EDR platforms, and vulnerability scanners into the range. Working closely with our exercise facilitators, you will help design and execute large-scale cybersecurity drills, providing real-time technical support to ensure seamless execution. This role requires a proactive mindset, as you will constantly research emerging cyber threats and technologies to keep our ranges at the cutting edge. You will also develop comprehensive documentation, standard operating procedures, and best practices for range operations.
Qualifications & Experience
To succeed in this role, you will need a strong foundation in networking and systems administration, combined with a deep interest in cybersecurity. We are looking for candidates with a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, and at least 2-5 years of relevant experience. You should possess hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell). Familiarity with security tools and attack/defence methodologies is critical. Certifications like CCNA, CompTIA Security+, CEH, or OSCP are a significant advantage. Most importantly, we are looking for a team player with excellent communication skills and a strong desire to learn and grow.

Tanggung Jawab
- Design, develop, and maintain complex cyber range environments to simulate real-world network infrastructures, attacks, and defence scenarios.
- Manage and maintain the underlying virtualisation and cloud infrastructure (VMware, AWS, Azure) to ensure high availability and performance.
- Create, automate, and deploy cybersecurity training exercises, including red team/blue team simulations, capture-the-flag events, and tabletop exercises.
- Develop scripts and automation tools using Python, Bash, and PowerShell to streamline range operations and scenario deployment.
- Provide real-time technical support and troubleshooting during live cyber exercises and training sessions.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity instructors and curriculum developers to align training objectives with technical capabilities.
- Research and implement emerging cyber threats, TTPs, and defensive technologies to keep scenarios current and relevant.
- Document range architectures, standard operating procedures, and best practices for internal and client use.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, systems administration, or cybersecurity operations.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, VLANs, VPNs) and network security (Firewalls, IDS/IPS).
- Proficiency with virtualisation technologies such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, or KVM.
- Experience with scripting and automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ansible).
- Familiarity with cyber defence tools (SIEM, EDR, SOAR, vulnerability scanners).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Security+, CEH, OSCP, CISSP) are highly valued.
