The Global Payment team is responsible for building and maintaining a seamless, secure, and scalable payment ecosystem for ByteDance's diverse product portfolio. We handle everything from payment acquisitions and disbursements to transaction processing and financial risk management, supporting millions of transactions globally.
Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Data Analyst Intern to join our Global Payment team in Singapore. In this role, you will dive deep into massive datasets to uncover insights that directly impact product development, user experience, and business performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Operations, and Risk to solve complex problems and drive innovation in the digital payments space.

Tanggung Jawab
- Perform data extraction, cleaning, and analysis on large-scale payment datasets using SQL and Python.
- Develop dashboards and visualizations to monitor key business metrics and payment health.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to design and evaluate A/B experiments.
- Identify trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities in payment conversion and user behavior.
- Contribute to the development of data models and frameworks for risk management and fraud detection.
- Prepare clear and compelling reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Participate in team stand-ups and actively contribute to a data-driven culture.
Kualifikasi
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
- Expected graduation in 2026 or 2027 to start the internship in 2026.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with at least one scripting language (Python or R).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
- Solid understanding of statistical concepts and experimental design (A/B testing).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Prior internship or project experience in data analysis, fintech, or payments is highly advantageous.
