We are currently seeking a Data Center Critical Facilities Engineer (A0/A1 Chargeman) to join our growing team in Iskandar Puteri, Johor. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of all critical infrastructure systems, including electrical power distribution, UPS systems, generators, HVAC, fire detection/suppression, and building automation. You will ensure that our data center operates at 100% uptime and efficiency, responding promptly to alarms and incidents, and performing preventive maintenance activities.
The ideal candidate is a certified Chargeman (A0 or A1) with a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems. Tanggung Jawab
- Monitor and maintain all critical facility infrastructure including UPS, generators, HVAC, electrical distribution, fire suppression, and monitoring systems.
- Perform routine troubleshooting and emergency responses to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for maintenance and repair activities.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of all incidents, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Support the implementation of safety and security policies within the data center.
- Participate in capacity planning and infrastructure upgrades to meet growing business demands.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams to share best practices and standardize processes.
Kualifikasi
- Valid A0 or A1 Chargeman certification from Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission) is required.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in critical facilities management, preferably in a data center or mission-critical environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, fire protection, and building automation systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends when necessary.
- Good communication skills in English (both written and spoken).
- Certifications in ITIL, NETA, or other industry standards are a plus.
