Adecco is currently seeking a skilled Data Center Technician to join our client's state-of-the-art facility in Kempas, Johor. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the essential technical liaison between our cross-functional technology teams and the physical Data Center environment, ensuring optimal performance, security, and uptime.
As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for the daily operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of server hardware, network connectivity, and power/cooling systems. We are looking for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses a keen eye for detail, and is committed to maintaining 99.999% reliability standards.

Tanggung Jawab
- Monitor and maintain data center physical infrastructure, including power distribution units (PDU), UPS systems, and CRAC/CRAH units.
- Perform installation, decommissioning, and configuration of server racks, network switches, and cabling (fiber/copper).
- Act as the primary point of contact for onsite technical troubleshooting, escalating complex issues to Level 3 engineers when necessary.
- Conduct regular facility walkthroughs to ensure compliance with safety, security, and environmental standards.
- Manage inventory of IT hardware components and maintain accurate asset records in the Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) system.
- Coordinate with vendors and third-party contractors for facility maintenance and equipment upgrades.
- Provide remote hands support to internal technology teams, ensuring rapid incident resolution and minimal downtime.
Kualifikasi
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a Data Center, Server Room, or similar IT operations environment.
- Strong understanding of server hardware components, network infrastructure, and structured cabling standards.
- Hands-on experience with environmental monitoring systems and power management protocols.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira) and ITIL incident management processes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and facility management.
- Capacity to work in a rotating shift pattern to support 24/7 data center operations.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or Uptime Institute certifications are highly preferred.
