ES Recruitment Pte Ltd is currently seeking a dedicated Data Centre Operations Technician to join our client's high-performance facility in Novena. In this vital role, you will be the eyes and ears of the data centre, ensuring that our client's hardware infrastructure maintains maximum uptime and peak performance 24/7.
This contract position is perfect for individuals who thrive in fast-paced technical environments, possess a keen eye for troubleshooting, and are comfortable working in a high-availability infrastructure setting. You will work alongside a team of expert engineers to maintain physical security, perform routine hardware maintenance, and manage incident responses in a state-of-the-art facility.
Tanggung Jawab
- Monitor physical infrastructure systems (Power, Cooling, and Networking) via DCIM tools to ensure 24/7 uptime.
- Conduct regular walkthroughs and physical inspections of server halls, racks, and cabling infrastructure.
- Assist in the installation, de-installation, and troubleshooting of server hardware and network equipment.
- Perform timely incident response, including logging tickets, escalating critical issues, and documenting resolution steps.
- Manage inventory levels of spare parts and critical hardware components.
- Adhere strictly to site safety, security, and operational protocols (MOP/SOP).
- Coordinate with vendors and on-site contractors during scheduled facility maintenance or equipment upgrades.
Kualifikasi
- Diploma or Nitec in Information Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a Data Centre, NOC, or Server Room environment is highly advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of network hardware, cabling, and server architecture.
- Ability to perform 12-hour rotating shifts (day/night) to support a 24/7 operation.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Good interpersonal skills and proficiency in English for reporting and communication.
- Physical ability to lift server equipment and perform routine manual hardware tasks.
