We are seeking an exceptional contract Database Administrator (DBA) to join the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), the central bank and integrated financial regulator of Singapore. This is a critical role within our Technology & Infrastructure team, where you will be entrusted with the design, implementation, and ongoing management of our high-availability database ecosystems.
As an expert in Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL, you will ensure the performance, security, and resilience of databases that power our core banking systems. You will lead initiatives in performance tuning, automation, and disaster recovery planning to maintain the highest standards of operational reliability. Your expertise will directly contribute to the stability and security of Singapore's financial sector.

Tanggung Jawab
- Design, implement, and administer high-availability Oracle (RAC, Data Guard), SQL Server (Always On, FCI), and PostgreSQL (Streaming Replication) database solutions.
- Perform regular database monitoring, performance tuning, and proactive capacity planning to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
- Manage database security, user access controls, and ensure compliance with MAS’s stringent cybersecurity and data protection policies.
- Lead and execute database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery (DR) drills, ensuring RTO/RPO targets are consistently met.
- Automate routine DBA tasks using scripting (Shell, Python, PowerShell) and modern Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles.
- Collaborate with application development teams to review SQL queries, design schemas, and optimize database code for new and existing projects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term preventative measures.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, standard operating procedures, and architectural designs.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator managing Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL in a production environment.
- Expert-level knowledge of Oracle RAC and Data Guard, SQL Server Always On Availability Groups, and PostgreSQL replication and partitioning.
- Strong proficiency in performance tuning (AWR, ASH, SQL Plan Management, Query Store, pg_stat_statements) and index optimization.
- Experience with cloud database platforms (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, or GCP Cloud SQL) and hybrid cloud architectures is highly advantageous.
- Industry certifications (e.g., OCP, MCSE: Data Platform, PostgreSQL Certified Professional) are strongly preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, business-critical environment.
- Knowledge of banking regulations, IT security standards (ISO 27001, MAS TRM), and data governance best practices is a plus.
