TikTok is looking for a highly skilled Datacenter Operation Engineer (DCO) to join our Infrastructure Engineering team in Kulai, Johor. In this role, you will be at the front lines of mission-critical infrastructure, ensuring 99.999% availability and optimizing the performance of our server hardware and networking environments. You will collaborate with global teams to deploy cutting-edge technologies, troubleshoot complex technical challenges, and drive continuous improvement in our datacenter operations. Tanggung Jawab
- Manage the daily physical health and maintenance of servers, storage, and networking hardware within a hyperscale datacenter environment.
- Perform rapid troubleshooting and hardware replacement to ensure maximum uptime and system reliability.
- Execute complex server provisioning, cabling, and rack installation projects according to global engineering standards.
- Monitor environmental and power systems to proactively identify risks and prevent service interruptions.
- Document incident reports, maintenance logs, and inventory updates with high accuracy in a ticketing system.
- Coordinate with vendors, facility managers, and cross-functional engineering teams to resolve infrastructure bottlenecks.
- Contribute to the development of automation scripts to streamline manual operational tasks and improve efficiency.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a datacenter or critical server infrastructure environment.
- Deep understanding of server hardware components (CPU, RAM, HDD/SSD, RAID controllers, NICs).
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix administration and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Switching/Routing).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
- Experience with rack-and-stack, structured cabling (Fiber/Copper), and power distribution management.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate technical issues clearly to global stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a rotating shift or on-call capacity when necessary to support 24/7 operations.
