As a Day 2 Engineer, you'll be the guardian of our production environment, implementing proactive monitoring strategies and rapid incident response protocols. Your work will involve deep-dive troubleshooting, patch management, and capacity planning to prevent system failures before they occur. You'll collaborate closely with development teams to bridge the gap between infrastructure and application layers, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. This role requires both technical precision and excellent communication skills to translate complex technical concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
Tanggung Jawab
- Monitor and maintain mission-critical applications and platform services with 99.9% uptime SLAs
- Implement proactive system health checks, performance tuning, and capacity planning
- Execute incident response protocols including root cause analysis and post-mortem documentation
- Coordinate patch management and security updates across multi-tiered infrastructure
- Collaborate with development teams for seamless CI/CD pipeline integration
- Document system configurations, runbooks, and operational procedures
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergency support
- Contribute to automation initiatives using scripting tools for operational efficiency
Kualifikasi
- Singaporean citizenship (mandatory requirement)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent professional certification
- 3+ years of experience in Day 2 operations for enterprise systems
- Strong expertise in Linux/Windows system administration and virtualization
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and container technologies
- Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Datadog) and alerting systems
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation
- ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent operational framework experience
