Are you a visionary academic leader with a passion for shaping the next generation of IT professionals? ACLC College is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dean for the BS Information Technology (BSIT) department at our AMACC Tuguegarao campus.
As the Dean, you will serve as the academic and administrative head of the BSIT program. You will be responsible for upholding academic excellence, driving curriculum innovation, and fostering a culture of research and professional development. This is a pivotal role for an educator who possesses both strong leadership capabilities and a deep understanding of current technological trends in the IT industry.
The successful candidate will provide strategic direction to faculty, ensure compliance with CHED standards, and cultivate strong industry partnerships to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world application.
Tanggung Jawab
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the BSIT department, ensuring all academic programs meet institutional and CHED standards.
- Mentor, supervise, and evaluate faculty performance to foster professional growth and teaching excellence.
- Oversee the development and periodic review of the IT curriculum to ensure it remains relevant to current industry demands.
- Manage departmental budgets, resources, and laboratory facilities to provide a conducive learning environment for students.
- Spearhead student development initiatives, including internships, research projects, and extracurricular IT activities.
- Collaborate with industry partners to facilitate student job placements and faculty immersion programs.
- Ensure efficient administrative operations, including course scheduling, faculty loading, and academic policy implementation.
Kualifikasi
- Masterβs degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (PhD is a distinct advantage).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an academic leadership role (e.g., Program Chair or Dean) or significant industry leadership experience.
- Solid background in IT curriculum development and quality assurance processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
- Strong understanding of CHED regulations and accreditation processes for tertiary IT programs.
- Proven record of research, community service, or industry engagement in the field of technology.
