Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) is seeking a strategic and results-driven Deputy Director of Income and Student Loans to join our dynamic Department of Finance. This is a pivotal leadership role designed for an experienced financial professional who thrives in an academic environment and is passionate about streamlining administrative processes.
As the Deputy Director, you will play a central role in managing the university's revenue streams and student loan portfolios. You will be responsible for overseeing high-level financial operations, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and government regulations, and mentoring a high-performing finance team. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in financial accounting with strong leadership capabilities, contributing to the university’s mission of providing affordable and high-quality education.

Tanggung Jawab
- Provide strategic oversight and operational management of the university's income collection and student loan processing systems.
- Develop and implement robust financial policies to ensure accuracy in billing, collections, and loan disbursement procedures.
- Lead, mentor, and coach the finance department staff to foster a culture of efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure full compliance with university bylaws, MQA requirements, and relevant government regulatory frameworks concerning student finance.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and data analytics to support executive decision-making regarding university income and funding.
- Manage relationships with external financial institutions, government bodies, and scholarship agencies regarding student funding programs.
- Oversee internal audit processes to maintain high standards of fiscal transparency and risk management.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in financial operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
- Proven expertise in managing high-volume transaction environments, preferably within the education sector or public institutions.
- Strong understanding of student loan management systems and revenue recognition principles.
- Proficiency in enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and advanced financial reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical mindset with a meticulous attention to detail and ability to solve complex financial challenges.
