We are seeking a visionary Deputy Director to lead our Urban Solutions & Sustainability Innovation & Enterprise initiative at the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR). In this strategic role, you will drive transformative innovations that power Singapore's future sustainability. You will spearhead high-impact projects, build strategic partnerships, and foster a culture of innovation to advance Singapore's smart city ambitions and sustainable development goals.
As the Deputy Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing the innovation roadmap, engaging with industry and government stakeholders, and managing a team of experts to deliver cutting-edge solutions. - Lead the development and implementation of strategic roadmaps for urban solutions and sustainability innovation.
- Drive collaborative research and development projects with industry, academia, and government agencies.
- Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team to achieve program objectives and milestones.
- Identify emerging trends and technologies to create new opportunities for sustainable urban development.
- Secure funding and resources through proposal writing and stakeholder engagement.
- Oversee project budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.
- Represent A*STAR at national and international forums to promote Singapore's innovation ecosystem.
Kualifikasi
- PhD or Master’s degree in Engineering, Urban Planning, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- At least 12 years of experience in R&D management, innovation, or urban sustainability, with a proven track record of leadership.
- Deep understanding of smart city technologies, sustainability frameworks, and innovation systems.
- Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience in securing research funding and managing large-scale projects.
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and foster a collaborative work environment.
