Cohu, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Design Engineer to join our world-class engineering team in the Philippines. In this role, you will lead the refinement, customization, and advancement of semiconductor test handler conversion kits (effects kits) to align with evolving customer requirements and fast-paced technological shifts in the industry.

You will work closely with cross-functional global teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and customer service, to ensure that our products deliver unmatched performance and reliability. Tanggung Jawab
- Refine, customize, and advance mechanical designs for semiconductor test handler conversion kits (effects kits) based on client needs.
- Generate accurate 3D CAD models, assemblies, and detailed 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks or similar platform.
- Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure design accuracy and proper system integration.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize designs for manufacturability (DFM) and cost-efficiency.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting services directly to internal teams and external kit users.
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering change orders (ECOs), and product documentation.
- Participate in design review meetings to validate design concepts and verify conformance to industry standards.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent engineering field.
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of solid experience in precision mechanical design, preferably within the semiconductor or automation industries.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling software (SolidWorks, Creo, or Inventor).
- Strong understanding of machining processes, material selection, and surface finishing technologies.
- Proven background in handling tolerance stack-up analysis and applying GD&T.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectively collaborate with global teams and customers.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
