The Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (ARTC), a research institute under A*STAR, is seeking a talented Development Engineer to join our Measurement, Inspection, and Vision (MIV/IPV) team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing next-generation automated optical inspection systems that leverage cutting-edge AI and advanced computer vision techniques to drive industrial efficiency.
You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of scientists and researchers to solve complex manufacturing challenges, implementing robust software solutions that transform visual data into actionable intelligence. Tanggung Jawab
- Design and develop automated vision inspection systems for high-precision industrial applications.
- Implement advanced image processing algorithms using OpenCV, Halcon, or similar libraries.
- Train and deploy deep learning models for anomaly detection and defect classification.
- Integrate vision hardware (cameras, lighting, optics) with robotic systems and PLCs.
- Conduct feasibility studies and performance evaluations for new inspection methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional research teams to translate laboratory concepts into deployable prototypes.
- Document technical specifications, system architectures, and validation results.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in computer vision, image processing, and machine learning pipelines.
- Proficiency in Python or C++ is essential for high-performance software development.
- Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras.
- Familiarity with industrial inspection hardware (telecentric lenses, line-scan cameras, light controllers).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for industrial automation.
- Ability to work effectively in a research-oriented, collaborative environment.
