Join Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts as a Director of Engineering and lead our world-class hospitality operations in Malaysia. This pivotal role oversees all engineering functions, including maintenance, mechanical systems, electrical infrastructure, and facility management across premium resort properties. You'll drive operational excellence, ensure compliance with international standards, and implement innovative sustainability initiatives to enhance guest experiences while optimizing resource efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage capital projects, control maintenance budgets, and develop long-term infrastructure strategies. Tanggung Jawab
- Oversee all engineering operations, maintenance protocols, and facility management across resort properties
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Manage capital projects, vendor relationships, and maintenance budgets efficiently
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and brand specifications
- Lead and mentor engineering teams while fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Coordinate emergency response protocols and crisis management for technical failures
- Drive sustainability initiatives and energy conservation programs across properties
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 10+ years in engineering management with 5+ years in hospitality/luxury sector
- Proven expertise in mechanical/electrical systems and facility maintenance protocols
- Strong project management skills with experience in capital planning and execution
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy management systems
- Excellent leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams
- Certification in facility management or engineering (e.g., CFM, CEM) advantageous
