Are you a seasoned hospitality leader with a passion for driving strategic growth in the meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) sector? Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur is seeking a high-performing Director of Sales - MICE to lead our commerce strategy in one of Asia's most vibrant business hubs.
As the Director of Sales - MICE, you will be the driving force behind our group revenue goals. You will cultivate high-value relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and international associations to position our legendary luxury hotel as the premier venue for global gatherings. This is a strategic role that requires a blend of sophisticated sales acumen, deep market knowledge, and the ability to lead a team toward delivering world-class service standards synonymous with the Mandarin Oriental brand.
Tanggung Jawab
- Develop and execute a comprehensive MICE sales strategy to maximize revenue and increase market share in the luxury hospitality segment.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire the sales team to achieve individual and departmental KPIs.
- Proactively prospect and secure high-value business through local and international travel, client events, and site inspections.
- Collaborate with the Revenue Management team to optimize pricing and inventory for group bookings.
- Represent Mandarin Oriental at major industry trade shows, exhibitions, and networking forums.
- Maintain a deep understanding of market trends, competitor activity, and shifting client demands in the MICE industry.
- Oversee the contracting process to ensure profitability and adherence to brand standards.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in hotel sales, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role focusing on MICE.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale group accounts and achieving aggressive revenue targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Strong existing network within the corporate event planning and international association market.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, luxury environment while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
- Deep understanding of Salesforce or similar CRM tools for pipeline management and data analytics.
