Copeland, a global leader in sustainable climate solutions, is seeking a visionary and strategic Director of Smart Factory (Manufacturing Engineering) to lead our enterprise-wide Industry 4.0 and digital manufacturing transformation. In this highly visible senior leadership role based in Bayan Lepas, Penang, you will be responsible for defining, architecting, and executing the smart manufacturing roadmap across our global network of production facilities.
The Director of Smart Factory will drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies including the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), advanced robotics, big data analytics, and digital twins to create a fully connected, autonomous, and predictive manufacturing ecosystem. You will work closely with executive stakeholders, global engineering teams, IT, and supply chain to modernize our manufacturing operations, improve efficiency, and uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, and sustainability.

Tanggung Jawab
- Develop and drive the global Smart Factory strategy, ensuring alignment with Copeland's operational excellence and sustainability goals.
- Lead the evaluation, piloting, and global deployment of advanced manufacturing technologies (IoT, AI/ML, Robotics, Digital Twins, Edge Computing).
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing global team of smart manufacturing engineers and Industry 4.0 specialists.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for smart factory initiatives, driving measurable ROI and process improvements.
- Collaborate with IT and Operational Technology (OT) teams to ensure seamless integration of MES, SCADA, ERP, and cloud platforms.
- Oversee the design and implementation of automated workflows, predictive maintenance systems, and data-driven quality control solutions.
- Manage the capital and operational budget for smart manufacturing projects, ensuring timely execution and value delivery.
- Promote a culture of continuous innovation and excellence through Lean Six Sigma, agile methodologies, and Industry 4.0 best practices.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (Master's degree or MBA strongly preferred).
- Minimum of 12+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (Director/Senior Manager).
- Extensive, demonstrable experience leading large-scale Industry 4.0 / Smart Factory initiatives in a global manufacturing environment.
- Deep technical proficiency in MES, SCADA, PLCs, industrial networking (OPC-UA/DA), and edge computing architectures.
- Proven experience implementing AI/ML and data analytics solutions for process optimization, quality, and predictive maintenance.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, cross-functional leadership, and organizational change management skills.
- Experience in the HVAC, refrigeration, or industrial component manufacturing industry is a strong advantage.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP, or equivalent senior-level certification is highly desired.
