We are currently seeking a highly motivated, skilled, and detail-oriented Draftsman (Automation) to join our dynamic engineering team. In this critical role, you will be the primary link between engineering concepts and their physical execution. You will work closely with our senior engineers and project managers to create, develop, and modify detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints for a wide variety of automation projects, including robotic work cells, conveyor systems, and custom machinery. Your accuracy and efficiency in using CAD software will directly impact the success of our projects. This position requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, excellent spatial awareness, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency in industry-standard drafting software is a must. Candidates who are highly proficient in AutoCAD or SolidWorks will be considered a distinct advantage, as these tools are central to our design workflow. Tanggung Jawab
- Create detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings and schematics for automation systems and machinery using CAD software (AutoCAD/SolidWorks).
- Collaborate closely with project engineers to understand design requirements and translate conceptual ideas into accurate technical plans.
- Revise and update existing drawings based on engineering changes, client feedback, or field modifications.
- Prepare bill of materials (BOM) and maintain accurate documentation for all drafting projects.
- Ensure all drawings comply with company drafting standards, industry regulations, and client specifications.
- Assist in the design and layout of automation cells, conveyors, and other mechanical systems.
- Coordinate with the manufacturing and installation teams to provide clear visual guidance and resolve any design-related queries.
- Maintain an organized library of project drawings and design files for easy retrieval and version control.
Kualifikasi
- Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a draftsman, preferably in an automation, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software is a must; strong experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks is highly preferred.
- Excellent understanding of engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and technical specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in producing technical documents.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative engineering team.
- Good communication skills in English (both written and verbal). Knowledge of Malay is an advantage.
- Possess a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a willingness to learn new technologies.
