Museum Macan is seeking a dynamic, creative, and highly organized Education & Public Program Manager / Assistant Manager to lead our mission of bridging art and community. In this role, you will be the heartbeat of our visitor experience, conceptualizing and executing high-impact educational initiatives, public workshops, and community outreach programs that engage diverse audiences.
The ideal candidate is a visionary in museum education who understands how to translate complex artistic concepts into accessible and inspiring experiences. You will collaborate closely with the curatorial team to align programming with current exhibitions, foster relationships with educational institutions, and ensure that Museum Macan remains a vital cultural hub in Jakarta. Tanggung Jawab
- Develop, plan, and execute a comprehensive calendar of public programs, workshops, and school tours.
- Collaborate with the curatorial team to create educational content that deepens the visitor's understanding of current exhibitions.
- Manage program budgets, vendor relations, and logistical requirements for all public events.
- Design and oversee outreach initiatives to broaden the museum's audience base and foster community inclusivity.
- Train and supervise docents, facilitators, and volunteers to ensure high-quality visitor engagement.
- Analyze visitor feedback and attendance metrics to refine program offerings and improve outreach effectiveness.
- Coordinate with marketing and communications teams to promote programs via digital and physical channels.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Art Education, Museum Studies, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in museum education, public programming, or cultural project management.
- Deep passion for contemporary art and experience in communicating art history to diverse demographics.
- Exceptional project management skills with the ability to handle multiple events simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Fluency in English and Indonesian (written and spoken) is essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building partnerships with schools, artists, and community organizations.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a proactive, hands-on approach to leadership.
