Tanggung Jawab
- Monitor and control the daily operations of the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) to ensure optimal performance and regulatory compliance.
- Perform routine sampling and laboratory analysis of wastewater effluent to verify adherence to Environmental Quality Act (EPA) standards.
- Manage and control chemical dosing systems, including coagulants, flocculants, and disinfectants, to ensure effective treatment processes.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of ETP machinery, pumps, and instrumentation to minimize downtime.
- Ensure accurate documentation of daily logs, operational data, and maintenance records for audit purposes.
- Collaborate with the production team to address any process deviations and implement corrective actions immediately.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and following Hazardous Chemicals (HAZCHEM) procedures.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant working experience in an ETP or wastewater treatment plant within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian Environmental Quality Act (Act 677) and related wastewater discharge standards.
- Familiarity with standard chemical dosing systems, filtration processes, and sludge handling.
- Proficiency in operating and reading process control instruments, such as pH meters, flow meters, and turbidity meters.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Valid class C/Class D driving license is an added advantage.
