Prisma Laboratory is seeking a dedicated and proactive EHS Manager to lead our Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives in Miri, Sarawak. This is a critical leadership role within our engineering and laboratory operations, focusing on the protection of our most valuable assets: our people and the environment. As the EHS Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic development and hands-on execution of safety protocols that ensure our facility remains a benchmark for excellence in the region.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Malaysian regulatory requirements and a passion for fostering a transparent, safety-first culture. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure that every team member returns home safely at the end of the day. In this position, you will serve as the primary expert on all safety matters, coordinating with government agencies and internal stakeholders to maintain total compliance. Tanggung Jawab
- Design, implement, and continuously improve the company’s EHS management system and safety policies.
- Conduct frequent site audits and risk assessments to ensure a hazard-free laboratory and work environment.
- Lead incident investigations using root-cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure full adherence to Malaysian DOSH (JKKP) and DOE (JAS) regulations and reporting requirements.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive safety training modules for new hires and existing staff.
- Oversee hazardous waste management and environmental impact monitoring programs.
- Maintain and update emergency response plans, including fire safety and chemical spill protocols.
- Collaborate with senior management to set and achieve annual safety performance targets and KPIs.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 3-5 years of professional experience in an EHS role, preferably within a laboratory or industrial setting.
- Valid certification as a Safety and Health Officer (Green Book) registered with DOSH is a significant advantage.
- Thorough knowledge of the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) 1994 and Environmental Quality Act (EQA) 1974.
- Proven ability to lead safety committees and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage technical documentation and regulatory filings.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Resident of or willing to relocate to Miri, Sarawak.
