About the Role
Seatrium is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas (EEHA) Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Tuas. As an EEHA Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all electrical installations and equipment within hazardous zones meet stringent safety and compliance standards. Your expertise will be crucial in implementing the EEHA plan, managing compliance activities, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to uphold the highest level of safety in our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the EEHA plan in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of electrical equipment installed in hazardous areas to ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., IECEx, ATEX, Singapore Standards).
- Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to address non-compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
- Manage documentation and records related to EEHA compliance, including equipment registers, inspection reports, and certificates.
- Provide technical guidance and training to staff on EEHA requirements and best practices.
- Liaise with external certifying bodies and regulatory authorities on EEHA matters.
- Stay updated with changes in hazardous area regulations and industry standards to ensure ongoing compliance.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Certified EEHA practitioner (e.g., City & Guilds 2391, COMPEX, or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in EEHA coordination, preferably in offshore, marine, or heavy industry.
- Strong knowledge of hazardous area classification, protection concepts, and equipment selection.
- Familiarity with local and international standards (SS 615, IEC 60079 series, etc.).
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Meticulous and detail-oriented with a commitment to safety.
