Scanmar Maritime Services is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrician / Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) to join our fleet, specifically for deployment on our high-performance reefer vessels. As a trusted leader in maritime crew management, we oversee a diverse range of tonnage including bulk, container, general cargo, and specialized tanker vessels. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all electrical and electronic systems on board. Proficiency in reefer container monitoring and refrigeration control systems is essential. This is a 2-month contract position, offering a lucrative salary of $6,500 per month for qualified professionals who prioritize safety, technical precision, and adherence to international maritime regulations.
Tanggung Jawab
- Ensure continuous operation and maintenance of all electrical and electronic equipment, including main generators, switchboards, and distribution systems.
- Provide specialized technical support for reefer plant control systems and container monitoring units.
- Conduct routine inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of navigation and communication equipment.
- Maintain detailed records of electrical repairs, maintenance logs, and spare parts inventory.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize vessel electrical efficiency and power management.
- Ensure full compliance with ISM Code, SOLAS, and MARPOL safety regulations.
- Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and equipment failures during vessel operations.
Kualifikasi
- Valid License as an Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) or Marine Electrician.
- Proven experience working on reefer vessels or vessels with complex refrigeration systems.
- Strong background in PLC troubleshooting and marine automation systems.
- Valid STCW certifications and medical certificate (POEA/MARINA standard).
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex electrical blueprints and technical schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure in a maritime environment.
- Excellent command of English, both verbal and written, for effective communication with the multinational crew.
