Tanggung Jawab
- Accurately assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for Emergency Department patient encounters.
- Review medical records to ensure documentation supports the services billed and meets all compliance guidelines.
- Stay updated on federal and state coding regulations, including changes to CPT and ICD-10 guidelines.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to clarify documentation gaps and improve overall coding quality.
- Meet or exceed departmental productivity and accuracy benchmarks consistently.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations and internal security protocols.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs provided by R1 RCM.
Kualifikasi
- Active Medical Coding Certification (CPC, CCS, or equivalent) from an accredited organization (AAPC/AHIMA).
- Minimum of 2 years of professional medical coding experience, specifically within an Emergency Department (ED) setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and coding software.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to maintain high levels of accuracy under deadlines.
- Must possess a stable internet connection and a conducive home-office environment for WFH requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
