Western Digital is seeking a highly skilled Engineer 3, Facilities (Electrical) to join our world-class manufacturing facility in Pasir Gudang. In this critical role, you will be the backbone of our operational infrastructure, ensuring that our electrical systems are resilient, efficient, and compliant with global safety standards.
As an Engineer 3, you will oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of high-voltage and low-voltage systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to execute facility upgrades, manage utility consumption, and drive sustainability initiatives that support our cutting-edge manufacturing processes. Tanggung Jawab
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of critical electrical infrastructure, including substations, switchgears, and UPS systems.
- Lead proactive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure 99.9% equipment reliability.
- Manage electrical utility consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives to meet organizational sustainability goals.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external contractors for facility improvement projects and site upgrades.
- Ensure full compliance with local regulatory requirements (DOSH, ST, DOE) and international safety standards.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for electrical system operations and emergency response.
- Analyze system performance data to identify bottlenecks and implement cost-effective engineering solutions.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in facility management or plant engineering within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Registered Electrical Energy Manager (REEM) or professional certification from the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of LV/HV electrical distribution systems, building automation, and power quality management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with PLC/SCADA control systems.
- Excellent analytical skills with a proven track record of managing technical projects and contractor teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide support for emergency plant operations.
