Join the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) as an Engineer A and contribute to the sustainable management of the country's vital water resources. The NIA is responsible for the development and maintenance of irrigation systems that support agricultural productivity and food security. In this role, you will work on critical projects aimed at ensuring efficient water distribution, flood control, and sustainable irrigation practices across the Ilocos Region. We are looking for a dedicated professional who is passionate about engineering solutions that have a tangible impact on the lives of farmers and the community.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing, planning, and supervising the construction of irrigation facilities. You will be tasked with conducting feasibility studies and hydrological assessments to ensure the longevity and efficiency of our infrastructure. The position requires a proactive approach to monitoring the operation and maintenance of irrigation systems to prevent water wastage and ensure timely delivery to farmers.
Tanggung Jawab
- Design, plan, and supervise the construction of irrigation facilities and hydraulic structures.
- Conduct hydrological studies, feasibility studies, and site inspections.
- Monitor the operation and maintenance of irrigation canals, reservoirs, and control structures.
- Prepare technical reports, engineering drawings, and project proposals.
- Coordinate with contractors, local government units, and agrarian reform communities.
- Implement water conservation strategies and disaster risk reduction measures.
- Ensure compliance with the National Building Code and NIA standards.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Agricultural Engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or eligible for licensure.
- At least 1-3 years of relevant experience in water resources, civil works, or construction.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD) and MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work in the field and travel within the Ilocos Region.
