Are you an experienced Protection Systems Engineer looking for a challenging role in Singapore’s power sector? Power Automation Pte Ltd, a trusted leader in automation and control solutions, is seeking a skilled Engineer – Protection Systems (Site Engineer) to manage the full lifecycle of high-voltage protection and control system projects. In this critical position, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery of 66kV, 230kV, and 400kV substation protection systems, ensuring design accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely commissioning.
You will collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to define project scope, review technical drawings, and resolve complex engineering challenges. From site surveys and design validation to testing and handover, your expertise will guarantee reliable protection schemes that safeguard critical power infrastructure. Tanggung Jawab
- Manage end-to-end delivery of protection and control system projects for 66kV, 230kV, and 400kV substations
- Review and approve design drawings, schematics, and technical specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to meet project milestones and budget
- Conduct site surveys and inspections to validate installation readiness and adherence to standards
- Perform testing and commissioning of protection relays, control panels, and SCADA interfaces
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation, testing, and operational phases
- Prepare comprehensive project documentation, progress reports, and as-built records
- Ensure all deliverables comply with industry regulations and safety requirements
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in protection and control systems for high-voltage substations
- Strong knowledge of protection schemes (distance, differential, overcurrent, earth fault) and relay coordination
- Familiarity with IEC 61850, SCADA, and substation automation systems
- Experience with testing equipment such as Omicron CMC, Doble, or similar
- Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently in a site environment and collaborate within a team
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification or willingness to obtain is a plus
