Tanggung Jawab
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS policies, procedures, and programs in line with local regulations (OSHA 1994, FMA, EQA) and corporate standards.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Hazard Identification studies for all manufacturing processes, equipment, and new projects.
- Lead and coordinate incident investigations, ensuring robust root cause analysis is performed and effective corrective/preventive actions are implemented and tracked to closure.
- Plan and deliver engaging safety training sessions and awareness campaigns to cultivate a strong safety culture and ensure workforce competence.
- Perform regular site safety inspections and audits to monitor compliance, identify hazards, and recommend practical control measures.
- Manage the chemical management program, including SDS maintenance, chemical register updates, and compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (Use and Standards of Chemicals Hazardous to Health) Regulations.
- Act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies such as DOSH, DOE, and BOMBA, ensuring timely submissions and compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement in safety performance metrics, setting targets, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to foster a proactive safety culture.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, or related field) or Occupational Safety & Health.
- Registered Safety and Health Officer (SHO) with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) and a valid Green Book.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or electronics.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian EHS regulations (OSHA 1994, FMA 1967, EQA 1974) and international standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- Proven experience in conducting risk assessments, HIRARC, and incident investigation (Root Cause Analysis).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized with strong project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with EHS management systems is an advantage.
