Galaksi Indo Marine is seeking a visionary and technically proficient Engineering Manager to lead our shipyard operations in Batam. This is a critical leadership role for an individual with deep expertise in naval architecture, ship design, and commercial shipyard operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire engineering department, bridging the gap between high-level vessel design and the commercial realities of project cost estimation, budgeting, and contractual compliance. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers to ensure that all shipyard projects meet rigorous quality standards, safety regulations, and client expectations while maintaining profitability.

Tanggung Jawab
- Lead and mentor the engineering team in all aspects of ship design, structural engineering, and systems integration.
- Oversee the preparation of detailed cost estimations, tender documents, and contract negotiations for new shipbuilding and repair projects.
- Ensure full compliance with international maritime standards, classification society rules, and local regulations.
- Manage engineering project lifecycles, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality specifications.
- Collaborate with production and procurement departments to optimize materials usage and construction efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance to resolve complex engineering challenges during the ship construction phase.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in a shipyard environment, with at least 3 years in a management capacity.
- Expert-level knowledge of ship design software (e.g., AutoCAD, AVEVA Marine, or similar).
- Strong commercial acumen, specifically in cost estimation, project budgeting, and contractual management.
- Proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage high-performing technical teams.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in English and Indonesian (professional working proficiency).
