Tamasek Group is currently expanding its operations in Pontian, Johor, and we are looking for three dedicated Environmental Engineers who hold active Competent Person status. This is an exceptional opportunity for professionals looking to take ownership of environmental compliance, wastewater management, and scheduled waste control within a growing industrial facility.
As an integral part of our engineering team, you will ensure that our facility adheres to the highest standards of environmental safety and Department of Environment (DOE) regulations. You will be responsible for overseeing the performance of our wastewater treatment plants, managing scheduled waste disposal logistics, and optimizing scrubber efficiency. Tanggung Jawab
- Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment systems to ensure discharge quality meets DOE standards.
- Manage the entire lifecycle of scheduled waste, from proper identification and storage to labeling, tracking, and final disposal in compliance with Environmental Quality (Scheduled Wastes) Regulations.
- Conduct regular monitoring and inspection of air pollution control systems, specifically wet scrubbers, to ensure optimal performance.
- Prepare and submit accurate reports for EQA compliance to regulatory authorities.
- Lead internal environmental audits and coordinate with site management to rectify any non-conformance issues.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for site environmental safety.
- Train junior staff on waste handling protocols and emergency response procedures related to chemical spills or effluent discharge.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Must possess a valid Competent Person certification from the Department of Environment (CePIETSO or CePSWAM is mandatory).
- Minimum 1-3 years of relevant work experience in an industrial or manufacturing plant setting.
- Strong understanding of Malaysian Environmental Quality Act 1974 and related regulations.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting for environmental performance metrics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills in Malay and English.
