Tanggung Jawab
- Develop, implement, and update Environmental Management Plans (EMP) for various engineering projects.
- Conduct regular site inspections and environmental audits to ensure compliance with Department of Environment (DOE) regulations.
- Monitor air quality, water discharge, noise levels, and vibration at project sites, coordinating with third-party labs where necessary.
- Manage scheduled waste and general waste disposal programs in accordance with the Environmental Quality Act (EQA) 1974.
- Prepare and submit periodic environmental reports and documentation to management and relevant government authorities.
- Liaise with government agencies, consultants, and subcontractors regarding environmental permits and compliance issues.
- Organize and lead environmental awareness training and toolbox talks for site personnel and subcontractors.
- Investigate environmental incidents or complaints and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Kualifikasi
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Must be a registered Environmental Officer (EO) with the Department of Environment (DOE) or EiMAS certified.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of working experience in environmental management within the construction or engineering industry.
- In-depth knowledge of the Environmental Quality Act (EQA) 1974 and other local environmental laws and regulations.
- Proven experience in handling Scheduled Waste management and reporting systems (e.g., eSWIS).
- Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently at site locations within Selangor and handle high-pressure situations.
- Proficiency in both English and Bahasa Malaysia is required.
