Join Coherent as an ESD Engineer and become a guardian of electronic component integrity in our advanced manufacturing facility. This critical role involves developing and implementing robust Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) control programs to safeguard sensitive components throughout the production lifecycle. You'll ensure compliance with international standards like ANSI/ESD S20.20 while proactively identifying and mitigating ESD risks. The position requires meticulous attention to detail as you conduct comprehensive audits, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions. Beyond compliance, you'll drive continuous improvement initiatives, support new facility setups with tailored ESD solutions, and empower colleagues through targeted training programs. Your expertise will directly contribute to product quality and operational excellence in Penang's dynamic manufacturing sector.
Tanggung Jawab
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive ESD control programs in production environments
- Conduct regular ESD audits and compliance assessments against industry standards
- Investigate ESD-related incidents and implement corrective/preventive actions
- Support new facility setups with customized ESD protection measures and protocols
- Design and deliver ESD training programs for production and engineering staff
- Generate and maintain ESD documentation including procedures, reports, and risk assessments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ESD controls into manufacturing processes
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related technical field
- Minimum 3 years of ESD control experience in manufacturing or electronics production
- Deep knowledge of ESD standards (ANSI/ESD S20.20, IEC 61340-5-1)
- Certification in ESD control (e.g., ESD Association CDP) preferred
- Experience with ESD testing equipment and failure analysis techniques
- Strong problem-solving skills with root cause analysis capabilities
- Excellent documentation and training presentation abilities
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems
