Emerson Electric, a global leader in technology and engineering, is seeking a skilled and motivated Facilities Technician to join our team in Bayan Lepas, Penang. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, operation, and improvement of our large-scale manufacturing and commercial facilities, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and energy efficiency.
As a Facilities Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our production operations by maintaining critical systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation. You will collaborate with a dedicated team to implement preventive maintenance programs, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement in facility management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.
- Monitor and maintain energy-efficient operations of facility equipment and systems.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and services.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and resolve potential issues.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventory, and equipment logs.
- Support the installation and commissioning of new facility equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of facility improvement projects.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance within large-scale commercial, industrial, or manufacturing environments.
- Diploma or certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities Engineering or related field.
- Familiarity with energy-efficient systems and sustainable facility practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of building management systems (BMS) and CMMS software is a plus.
- Willingness to work flexible hours when required.
