Are you a highly technical engineering professional looking to make an impact in the global storage industry? Teradyne is looking for a talented Field Application Engineer to join our elite HDD (Hard Disk Drive) Group. In this critical role, you will act as the primary technical bridge between our innovative test solutions and our valued clients based in the Philippines.
You will play a pivotal role in the success of our customers by providing expert on-site technical support, troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues, and optimizing test environments. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge automated test equipment (ATE) while collaborating with international engineering teams. Tanggung Jawab
- Provide high-level technical support for Teradyne test systems installed at customer sites in Alabang and the surrounding region.
- Analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex software and hardware issues affecting test yield and system performance.
- Conduct on-site installation, configuration, and calibration of automated test equipment (ATE).
- Partner with design and product engineering teams to relay customer feedback and drive product improvements.
- Develop and deliver technical training to customer operators and engineering staff.
- Assist in the deployment of software patches, system upgrades, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure project milestones are met by proactively managing technical challenges and providing innovative workarounds.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in field service, test engineering, or applications engineering, preferably within the semiconductor or storage (HDD) industry.
- Strong understanding of electronic circuits, board-level troubleshooting, and test system architecture.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, or C#) for automation and diagnostics.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Experience with data analysis tools to track performance metrics and identify trends.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and travel as required to support customer needs.
