OEDC (Olongapo Electricity Distribution Company) is seeking a dedicated Field Inspector to join our technical team in Olongapo City. This is a vital role focused on enhancing our utility infrastructure database and ensuring the precision of our Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping.
As a Field Inspector, you will be at the forefront of our operations, traversing various neighborhoods within the OEDC franchise area to locate and audit electrical kWh meters. Your primary mission is to collect and record high-precision GPS coordinates, which are essential for our grid modernization and billing accuracy initiatives. This role requires a blend of physical stamina, technical proficiency with handheld devices, and a commitment to high-quality data collection.

Tanggung Jawab
- Navigate through assigned franchise areas to accurately locate residential and commercial kWh meters.
- Collect and record precise GPS coordinates using specialized handheld devices or mobile mapping software.
- Perform basic visual inspections of meters to check for physical integrity and signs of external tampering.
- Verify and update existing meter information against the company’s central database.
- Maintain detailed daily logs of field activities, including total meters inspected and any accessibility issues encountered.
- Synchronize and upload collected field data to the GIS department on a daily basis.
- Collaborate with the Engineering and Billing departments to resolve data discrepancies.
Kualifikasi
- High School Diploma required; Vocational or Associate Degree in Engineering, Geodetics, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Strong familiarity with the geography, landmarks, and street layouts of Olongapo City and surrounding areas.
- Experience using GPS hardware or mobile-based GIS data collection tools (e.g., Google Maps, ArcGIS Collector).
- Ability to walk long distances and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry.
- Basic understanding of electrical safety and the function of electricity meters.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a motorcycle is highly advantageous for field mobility.
