As a Field Service Engineer, you will be the primary technical liaison between Cohu and our prestigious customers. Your mission will be to ensure maximum equipment uptime and customer satisfaction through expert on-site installation, proactive preventive maintenance, and rapid troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems. Tanggung Jawab
- Execute complete on-site installation, configuration, and commissioning of new Cohu semiconductor handling and test equipment at customer facilities in Malaysia.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, system diagnostics, and complex repairs to minimize equipment downtime and extend operational lifecycle.
- Provide expert technical support and hands-on training to customers on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols.
- Diagnose hardware and software issues using advanced tools, schematics, and technical documentation to ensure rapid resolution.
- Maintain accurate service records, trip reports, and technical documentation in the company CRM system.
- Collaborate closely with remote global engineering teams to resolve complex technical escalations and implement corrective actions.
- Manage on-site spare parts inventory and ensure timely logistics for critical component replacement.
- Adhere strictly to all ESD regulations, cleanroom protocols, and company safety policies.
Kualifikasi
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience as a Field Service Engineer in the semiconductor capital equipment industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of semiconductor handling systems, robotics, pneumatics, and vision systems (experience with test handlers is a significant advantage).
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems using standard diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin is highly preferred for interfacing with regional partners.
- Demonstrated willingness to travel extensively (up to 70-80%) within Malaysia and occasionally abroad for training or support.
- Self-motivated, independent, and capable of working effectively under pressure in a fast-paced cleanroom environment.
- Strong customer-centric mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and building long-term client relationships.
